This program is part of the Caafimaadkeena series.  This is a DVD designed to introduce Somali women to cervical cancer screening. 

Please know that this DVD is not: a full description of HPV, Physical procedures, Cervical cancer screening guidelines
a substitute for crucial dialogue between patient and provider.

The purpose of this DVD is to raise awareness of cervical cancer among Somali women, and to motivate these women to seek screening.  The script was written specifically to model a positive interaction between patient and provider and to reinforce the concept of regular health checks.

This program is part of the Caafimaadkeena series and features Dr. Osman Ahmed with Somali-TV host Mohamud Mas’ade. The 57-minute program begins with an overview of cancer including the following topics:

Where can I go for breast cancer screenings, if I do not have health insurance?
What is the treatment of cancer like?
