 WellShare works to decrease the infant mortality rate through its programs in Tanzania and Uganda.  WellShare utilizes community health workers and traditional birth attendants to educate mothers about preparing for child birth and proper newborn care.  WellShare also invests in the lives of newborns by educating families about child spacing, or family planning, giving young children a chance to grow and develop before another baby is brought into the home.
