Clean drinking water and sanitation have become precious commodities, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, where the World Bank estimates that only 58 percent of the population has access to piped water and 37 percent has access to improved sanitation.
While many countries in Africa are working to reform water and sanitation practices, governments need help. WellShare is working with community members and regional governments to provide clean water and sanitation to rural areas, where access remains poor, and to manage development of sustainable water-management resources.
